Centralized, Encrypted Investigation Data

Investigative credentials, PII, and background context should never live on your analyst’s local or organizational systems. Storing that information on your infrastructure breaks attribution boundaries, increases exposure, and creates dangerous entry points if breached. Any link between the investigation data and your environment can compromise your operators, sources, and the integrity of the investigation.

Alias keeps each investigation’s working data exactly where it belongs, inside its own isolated environment, encrypted, segmented, and fully usable by the analyst without the need to store it anywhere else.

Store Investigation Reference Data Securely

Each investigation includes a dedicated Reference Workspace,  a structured area within the platform to store:

  • Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
  • Background context and case notes

  • Profile photos and supporting images
  • Associated email addresses, phone numbers, and metadata
  • Operational notes, reminders, and timelines

Nothing ever leaves the environment or touches your local system. This keeps attribution lines clean, ensures operational separation, and prevents accidental exposure through shared drives, password managers, or synced folders.

For added protection, customers can encrypt workspace data using their own keys, keeping full control over access while ensuring the information remains protected end-to-end.

Store Platform Credentials & Access Metadata

Beyond general PII, every investigation workspace can store complete credential details for the platforms it uses — including:

  • Username and password
  • Security questions and recovery answers
  • Recovery phone, email, or secondary account details
  • Two-factor authentication method and status
  • Account creation date, verification status, and notes
  • Login health (last verified, locked, or expired)

Users can also create custom platform profiles within the system, allowing investigators to maintain the working credentials and session metadata for each investigative environment.

All data is encrypted in our database and only visible by using a user entered decryption key.

When required, they can be securely exported or shared with team members through controlled access and RBAC permissions — without revealing plaintext credentials or losing chain-of-custody logging.

Protecting the Link Between Analyst and Investigation

The Credential Vault keeps sensitive investigation data — PII, credentials, and reference material — inside the protected environment. By keeping each investigation’s information contained, encrypted, and segmented, organizations can safely scale their operations without risking attribution, compromise, or cross-contamination.
